Kendrick Camera-Cozy
This product has been discontinued. It consisted of a camera cover made from neoprene fabric and included a Dew Controller and Heater. The Dew Controller and Heater are still available as stand-alone products, but we no longer manufacture the neoprene body sock.

Camera-Cozy Packages |
We offer this product as a package that includes 1) the neoprene "cozy" (body sock) 2) A heater for the lens, 3) a dew controller.
The SDCC (Standard Dual Channel Controller) Camera-Cozy package is an excellent solution for anyone preferring a larger controller that can be used with other optical equipment or devices that requires more than two outputs. The package includes everything (except a battery!) you need to keep your camera dry. You get the #2001 SDCC Controller, a camera lens heater (for lenses up to 3" in diameter) and the DSLR Body Sock. The body sock is not heated but is constructed of cloth covered, waterproof neoprene. The sock also has a large pocket making a conventient place to mount the controller.

How To Use The System |
The loose fitting sock, which is itself unheated, is anchored over the camera lens, can be easily lifted over the camera body to give access to the LCD Display, buttons, plugs and camera controls. The Camera-Cozy Body Sock may also be purchased separately, without the heater and controller. The purpose of the sock is to prevent moisture from settling onto the camera body and its electrical connectors.
We recommend that you put your heaters in place at the beginning of a photography session and turn your controller on immediately. In the summer, choose about a setting of about 40% to 60%, in the winter, 80 to 100%.
If moisture has already condensed on your lens, we recommend drying the lens and then puting the lens cover in place. Turn the heater on high and waiting 20 to 30 minutes. Once the moisture has cleared, lower your controller setting and resume your photography.

How big a battery will you need to operate the Camera-Cozy for several hours of operation? Assuming a MICRO controller setting of 100%, a 6 amp hour 12 volt battery will give about 9 hours of continuos operation before the battery will need recharging. A 3 amp hour battery would give about 5 hours of operation. Typically though, a 50% controller setting is more realistic, even in cold weather, so these times could be doubled.
Our dew control systems require 12 volts DC. If you are looking for a battery to run the system, we recommend our #208 7.5 amp hour battery or our #2080 18 amp hour battery. If you want to run the system from a wall plug, you will need a step down converter with a minimum output of 5 amps. See Power Packs for more information on the power systems we offer.
