Kendrick Surgical Microscope Eyepiece Heaters
We have sold our systems to hospitals and surgery centres who use them to clear condensation on the eyepieces of their surgical microscopes.
When a surgeon places his/her eye next to the ocular on the microscope in a cold operating room, mositure from the eye will condense onto the glass, rendering the microscope unusable until the moisture in cleared. Wiping the moisture from the glass is ineffective as the moisture will immediately reappear when the eye is again placed to the ocular. Applying a gentle heat to the glass is the only truly effective method to prevent moisture condensation on these oculars.
Our heater systems have proven to be 100% effective at curing the problem of moisture condensing on surgical microscope eyepieces. One of the most notable users of our heater systems in the medical field is Dr. Gazi YaÅŸargil, who was elected "Neurosurgery's Man of the Century 1950-1999". Dr. YaÅŸargil has been a regular user of our products and a happy customer of Kendrick Astro Instruments for many years now. We have Dr. YaÅŸargil's permission to use his name in this endorsement.

- A version for Surgical Microscopes with up to 2 heads (Product Code KITMED-MICRO-1).
- A version for Surgical Microscopes with up to 4 heads (Product Code KITMED-MICRO-2).
MEDKIT-MICRO-1 consists of the following items:
- #2001-SDCC Standard Dual Channel, 4 port heater Controller.
- 1 pair #2006-B1 Ocular Heaters with "Y" adapter.
- 1 x 8' long extension (from controller to heater array).
- 6' long power cable (from 12 vdc power source to 2001-MINI Controller.
- #2085 120 volt to 12 volt (nominal 13.8V) DC 5 Amp Regulated Power Supply.

MEDKIT-MICRO-2 consists of the following items:
- #2001-SDCC Standard Dual Channel, 4 port heater Controller.
- 1 pair #2006-B1 Ocular Heaters with "Y" adapter.
- 1 x 8' long extension (from controller to heater array).
- 6' long power cable (from 12 vdc power source to 2001-SDCC Controller.
- #2078 120 volt to 12 volt (nominal 13.8V) DC 11.5 Amp Regulated Power Supply.

IMPORTANT! Please note that if you are using your own power supply to operate this system, you MUST USE a "Regulated" 12 vdc power supply and one that is rated at an amperage adequate to operate your heater system. Failure to use a "Regulated" power supply will ruin the controller.
WARRANTY: Our warranty on all components in this system is 1 year parts and labour. Misuse, abuse or tampering voids warranty.
